Important Announcement - December 2025

Allow me to tell you a little about my current situation.
In recent months, the cost of silver has risen (and continues rising) dramatically. For this reason, I had to raise some prices a few weeks ago because the price difference was so big that I could not absorb it. This is happening again. In addition, in the coming weeks, we will have to add to this the annual increase in absolutely everything (from the cost of materials and smelting costs to the price of shipping). The current situation is quite unsustainable, and I don't know how we are going to be able to cope the coming year, I won't lie to you. I am considering options and alternatives, but right now, due to all this, I have to think about certain things.
I have been keeping prices for the pieces that I had already cast before the crazy rise began and, for those that needed to be replaced or made to measure, I had adjusted prices to the last big rise, after which the price seemed to stabilise. But that hasn't been the case, and once again, prices have risen a lot in recent days, so I have to adjust prices again because, if I don't, my margin (which pays taxes, other payments, self-employment fee, etc.) will be eaten up by the price of silver.

On the other hand, we have the issue of casting times.
We are receiving quite a few orders just before the holidays that we have to cast (either because they are custom-made pieces or because we are out of stock), but with so little time and the way the holidays fall this year, it is difficult to get them ready in time for the holidays. You know that this quite annoys me, because I know it is a nuisance for you, but also because every year I prompt you to place your orders WELL IN ADVANCE so that this does not happen. Furthermore, as I said, due to the way the holidays fall, we don't have the margin we sometimes have before Three Kings Day this year because the foundry is taking a long weekend (and a well-deserved one, I assure you.)
As soon as I know their delivery times, I will contact those of you who have placed orders that will not arrive on time, so you know. That way, if you need to find alternatives (vouchers, gifts or other solutions), you will have time to do so.
I am very sorry about the situation, but I'm afraid there is nothing more we can do.
And...
Where is all this explanation leading to? Well, you see...

From now on, what you can find in the online shop are only the pieces that I have physically available in stock.
I will not be taking any more orders, nor custom pieces; I will not be casting any more pieces on demand, nor those that are out of stock.
Don't worry. This is temporary.
Right now, I cannot meet deadlines if you want them as gifts for holidays, but above all, I cannot handle such price variations, assuming costs and losses myself. I need to sit down, do the maths and think of a fair solution for everyone. But right now, juggling a thousand things, I cannot do this properly.

The pieces I leave in the shop will be at the old price, i.e. before the rise in the price of silver, as they are already cast and made, and I don't think it's fair to charge you more than they costed. Think of it as a stock clearance.
This is from now until 31st December.
On 1 January, I will put the website into maintenance mode for a few days. This will allow me to calmly update prices and implement some changes I am considering.

When the shop reopens, I will do so with the price increases applied (so take advantage of these days if you have been wanting something in silver for a while to get it cheaper) and the changes applied.
Sorry for this long post, but you know I prefer to be honest and tell you how things are. I think it's always the best, especially in these cases, since I can understand that many people don't understand such a big difference in prices on some items, in such a short time.
You know that I always try to keep my prices fair and offer affordable items, or at least offer a range of prices to suit all budgets. That is why I wanted to explain the reasons for the increases, as it is not an easy decision for me. The current global situation gives us no respite and, with each year, it becomes more difficult to survive as a craftswoman. I do not want to give up and -as I was saying- I am looking for ways to offer you my work at more affordable prices while remaining true to my philosophy of traditional craftsmanship and handmade items. Other options do not make sense to me.
If you have read this far, thank you very much for doing so.
Thank you very much for understanding the situation and thank you very much for your support. You know that none of this makes sense without you.
Thank you so much for being there.
