Bronze pendant in the shape of honeycomb cells, some open and some closed, with a small bee perched on them.
"Apis" means bee in Latin. The base of the pendant is made from natural beeswax, cast into metal. The bee is hand-carved, also in wax, and measures less than 1cm. The pendant is held in place by three rings that pass through one of the open cells.
The pendant measures about 2.5cm wide and high, including the jumprings.Jumprings are brass.
You can get just the pendant or the pendant with a 50cm black leather or rubber cord and silver clasp. The price varies depending on the option.
The pendants are hand-carved by me and cast into metal using the lost wax process. All finishes and patinas are also given by hand, piece by piece. They are made to order.

I wanted to dedicate this piece to bees as they are very important beings in nature and, despite this, they are at risk for various reasons. They are also important beings in many cultures as they are associated with ancestors and are considered psychopomps.
