Silver pendant with natural agate from Morocco.
In the center of the pendant is an oval agate measuring about 3 cm long and 2.5 cm wide, with red, orange, and black veins that rise from the bottom—like flames—toward the top, which features whitish tones and swirl-like formations, resembling rising smoke. The stone is natural, collected near the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, and carved by a female artisan gemstone cutter.
The stone is set in a Gothic-style bezel with prongs that form arches at the base, ending in small flat balls at the top and separated from one another by small clovers. The bezel is soldered to a sheet metal base and is made entirely of 925 sterling silver.
Flanking the stone are two ribbed, bat-like wings on either side, also made of 925 silver. At the top of the piece is a bail that attaches the pendant to a 60-centimeter chain (with a 10-centimeter extension ending in a small star-shaped pendant). The bail is surrounded by a small, movable crown, also in the Gothic style. All of these elements are also made of 925 silver.
The piece measures approximately 4 cm high by 5 cm wide.
This is a one-of-a-kind piece, both because of the stone and its Lucifer-inspired design. Handmade.
